Animal Collective - Transverse Temporal Gyrus

In March 2010, Animal Collective played a special event at New York’s Guggenheim Museum. And on this past weekend’s Record Store Day, they released Transverse Temporal Gyrus, a new LP that collages together the music they performed at that show. If you’ve been wanting a chance to hear the band return to their experimental past, this is it: Two formless, liquid 15-minute jams that drift in and out of melodic ideas. Listen to both sides of the LP below.

Transverse Temporal Gyrus is out now, but good luck finding a physical copy of it without paying top eBay dollar.

UPDATE: You can now experience the installation via a new site launched by AnCo — http://ttg.myanimalhome.net. Check it out.
