
“Bradley Manning” is Cass McCombs’s song in support of Manning, a U.S. Army soldier currently imprisoned and in deep shit for passing confidential info along to WikiLeaks. The song’s new video, from director Bradley Beesley, is a lyrical sort of visual essay about the war iconography that surrounds American kids. Watch it and download the song below.

I really believe Cass McCombs can do no wrong. This is such an amazing song, and I love how reminiscent of political folk from the 60s. Although indie folk really hit its stride (as in it became ridiculously popular) in 2007 and 2008, I hope the political folk movement can come back.
