Next week, the nine-member L.A. soul-punk ensemble Jail Weddings will release their new EP Four Future Standards, and it ends with a maximalist seven-minute organ-wailer called “(There’s Nothing Worse in the World Than A) Crying Girl.” It’s a big, stormy old-school track, the sort of thing that can fall apart completely if everyone involved doesn’t know exactly what they’re doing.
