Neil Young

Jonathan Demme loves him some Neil Young. In the past decade, Demme has already directed two Neil Young concert films: 2006′s Heart Of Gold and 2009′s Neil Young Trunk Show, and he got Tunde Adebimpe to sing Young’s “Unknown Legend” in his movie Rachel Getting Married. (Demme, of course, also directed arguably the greatest concert film ever made, the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense.) Now Demme is getting ready to release his third Young concert film. Neil Young Journeys follows Young as he visits his Ontario hometown and then plays a show at Toronto’s Massey Hall. Watch the trailer below.

Neil Young, back with Crazy Horse again, will release the new album Americana, a collection of fuzzed-out renditions of American folk songs, 6/5 on Reprise. Check out “Oh Susanna” and “Jesus’ Chariot (She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain).”
