Hot Chip - "Night And Day" Video

The first music video that British comedian Peter Serafinowicz ever directed was the amazing, hallucinatory one for Hot Chip’s “I Feel Better.” And now the director and band have teamed up once again, making a similarly batshit clip for Hot Chip’s new single “Night And Day.” It would be an act of rank spoilerization if I described anything that happened in the video, but it does star legendarily badass British actor Terrence Stamp, beatboxing comic Reggie Watts, supermodel Lara Stone, a roomful of dancing monks, and two weirdly complementary spaceships. Watch it below.

Hot Chip’s new album In Our Heads is out 6/12 on Domino.

  1. In Great Britain, what you call fries, we call “chips”, and we call what you call chips, “crisps”

In these troubled times, I’m just here to help.

  2. The monk dances are modelled on Gurdjieff “movements”, specifically those shown in the film “Meetings With Remarkable Men”. Regardez: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMA8uQfCQWM . The bit with the women kneeling and moving their hands is also in that film.

  3. So I got a Flight Of The Navigator vibe from this

And when did Terrence Stamp morph into Malcolm McDowell?
