  3. Dave  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Why are they hating on Maryland/Washington D.C.? Last time they came through it sold out. Sad sad day.

  7. You know, when a band stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, that makes it a North American tour, not a U.S. tour. YOU CAN TAKE OUR WATER AND TREES, BUT HANDS OFF OUR BEST CITIES MMKAY!?? Just kidding. Sort of.

    • sorry about that! i typed that before looking at the full slate of dates and never went back to correct. my apologies to canada, i hope we can still be friends. fixed.

the closest they’re coming to new orleans is chicago. great. after seeing them at bonnaroo i’d be satisfied without ever seeing any band live ever again, but seeing them again would be epic.

  9. Sean Jean  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

    No DC!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!

  10. mikey  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

A DC date would be epic.

  11. alex  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

No ticket outlets? God damn I wish I had a credit card.

  12. Otis  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Skipped right over Vegas–just like evryother talented group in the world.

We are not all Panic At The Disco sluts, I promise!

  13. No southern dates? WTF?

  14. andy  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

    fourthing MD/VA/DC/NC

    what the damn, sigur ros?

  15. Anyone have a guess on the price?

    • eric  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

tickets for the boston show are $35 and $25, so i would guess they’ll be in that ballpark for all shows.

and to reply to alex, the tickets for boston go on sale through ticketmaster 6/27, so i would guess there will be actual ticket outlets as opposed to the “pre-sale” that starts tomorrow.

  16. Chris  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

    Does anybody remember laughter?

  17. Alicia  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Nothing in Philly or D.C.? Boo.

  18. nick bahula  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Does anyone else think the new song sounds like Grey Street from Dave Matthews Band?

  19. Charlie  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Damn, no Atlanta date (or any other south eastern dates, for that matter). It’s only been four days since I saw them at Bonnaroo, but already I’m frothing at the mouth to see them again.

  20. Neil  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Whoa, they’re just announcing their US tour now? Live Nation spilled the beans a week or two ago in a Boston Globe ad about their show at the Bank of America Pavilion. I now have something to put in the company’s previously desolate “Good” column.

  21. alex  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Um, I could get a credit card if I wanted to. I have no real use for one, an ATM works just as well except in situations such as this one.

  22. chadwicksaid  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

    no DC? c’mon

  23. gary  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

How dare they schedule their LA show on the same night as My Bloody Valentine! I can’t be in two places at once! Horseapples!!!!!

    EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!!

  24. tyler  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

Quai Jacques-Cartier? there’s a concert venue in the Old Port of Montreal? anyone know what this place is about?

  25. william  |   Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 0

  27. ooh god i would love to go….too bad nobody i know has evne heard of this guys. sad :(

  28. matt  |   Posted on Jun 20th, 2008 0

Woo last stop on tour. And at the Chan Centre no less. They always play the most AWESOME venues.

  29. Eh. Florida blows yet again. Anyone know if they will be adding more dates to the South?

  30. credit_debit  |   Posted on Jun 20th, 2008 0

who are these people with no credit cards? how do you manage to survive? you have heard of debit credit cards, right?

  31. rob LOWE  |   Posted on Jun 20th, 2008 0

Anybody having any luck with the pre-sale? It’s been a total waste thus far on my end… The site went down about 15 minutes before they went on sale, and I can only get as far as Sigur Ros’ page until the pre-sale page times out. This is like the Radiohead pre-sale debacle all over again. Scalpers must have had a field day or something.

  32. Yeah these bands that presale on sites that can’t handle the traffic are really annoying. For all the fees and charges you have to deal with and the douche-baggery of the company, at least ticketmaster’s site works.

I tried for 30 minutes and when the page finally loaded Toronto was sold out. Bogus.

  33. wtf  |   Posted on Jun 20th, 2008 0

i’ve been trying to get tickets since it went on sale and the site is down. now the tickets i want are fucking sold out. WTF.

    • I_got_tix  |   Posted on Jun 20th, 2008 0

go to Brooklyn Vegan’s Sigur Ros post for some live commenting on various cities’ luck with buying the pre-sale tix. The best bet is, even if the city says sold out, go directly to the city page. That’s how I got Boston.

      • rob LOWE  |   Posted on Jun 20th, 2008 0

Boston represent. I somehow on the whims of a miracle got through and scored tix so I’m a happy gobbledigook right now.

        • melissa  |   Posted on Jun 21st, 2008 0

me too! i was able to snag a pair of tickets after the site being down for the first 15 minutes tickets were on sale. anyone know what the deal is with reserved seats? i’ve been to the pavilion a ton of times and i’m just hoping those aren’t the uncovered concourse area seats…cause those suck.

          • rob LOWE  |   Posted on Jun 21st, 2008 0

I can’t imagine the seats they’d give pre-sell buyers would be the uncovered concourse, because the face value of the tickets we bought is $40. The uncovered concourse seats on Ticketmaster are $25 face value. I’m hoping they’re nice enough to give pre-sell buyers seating in at least the first half of the Pavillion.

  36. Kevin  |   Posted on Jun 24th, 2008 0

for the millionth time, “where’s the DC date?”

  37. Sammy  |   Posted on Jun 26th, 2008 0

Yes, they need to come to DC.

We can now carry hand guns!!!! Thanks Scalia!!!

Sigur Ros can help us celebrate!
