The Walkmen on Fallon

Last night, the Walkmen, fresh off of releasing one of the year’s best albums, came through Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. On the show, they performed “Heaven,” that album’s title track. And as an online bonus, they also did the deep cut “The Love You Love.” And beyond the obvious greatness of the songs and the performances, there’s a real kick to seeing this band looking dapper and playing the shit out of gorgeous old instruments — really taking the visual side of their job seriously without resorting to attention-grabbing tricks. They are just very good at what they do. Watch both performances below.

Heaven is out now on Fat Possum, and it rules.
