Labelmates Julianna Barwick and Helado Negro will combine to form OMBRE and the duo will put out a record called Believe You Me in August. Today, they’re sharing the first track from the collaboration, a synth-driven track called “Cara Falsa” that features Barwick’s vocals. Download it below.

This is absolutely gorgeous. If this isn’t BNM’ed at some point today, P4k’s staff must be Molly’ed out from last night’s Avici concert. Pero en serio, this is the best thing Barwick’s ever released. A much-needed optimistic counterpoint in the “serious ambient drone” corner of indie to all the dark, melancholy stuff that’s been released recently by the likes of Laurel Halo, Oneohtrix and Grouper.
