Public Enemy - Most Of My Heroes Don't Appear On No Stamp

Public Enemy are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, an occasion they plan to announce by releasing two conceptually linked, crowd-funded albums called Most Of My Heroes Don’t Appear On No Stamp and The Evil Empire Of Everything. The first thing that we’ve heard from either album is “Get It In,” a defiantly funky collaboration with the veteran New York hardass Bumpy Knuckles. It sounds better than anything from a 25-year-old rap group could reasonably be expected to sound. Listen to a radio rip of it below.

No word on which of those two albums this one is set for, but the prospect of a couple of albums from circa-2012 P.E. suddenly seems a whole lot brighter.

    Damned by faint praise.
