They’re Just Fuckn’ Words!
smart words
…twisted words?
nah, i’ll leave that one alone.
loove the vonnegut quote in any context.
this guy is becoming so humorless ? he’s never been hopeful/uplifting/whatever, which is totally fine, but he seems increasingly divorced from the basic ups and downs of life. there’s less and less wit (and more self-awareness) to his own melodrama. next Radiohead LP could be lethal.
I am the biggest radiohead fan i know but thom needs to shut up & sing.
I don’t give one flying fuck about what you think. There’s nothing that makes you inherently smarter than me in any subject other than music. So stop trying to tell me you are.
Get up there and dance & sing, boy. That’s what you’re paid for.
Well said. Shut up and play!
boo hoo, my favorite entertainer has opinions and i don’t like them. waaaaaaaaah
It’s his (and the band’s) blog. He can write and/or say whatever the fuck he wants.
If you don’t care, then don’t read it.
I don’t know how this could make anyone upset. I don’t feel like he’s being condescending or anything of the sort. Its kind of sad and revealing that you would take it in such a way. He is just blogging about shit that interests him. Its odd that someone would find this so bothersome. Its HIS blog.
I mean, this isn’t even a concert… Its free internet content. If his musings bother you… stop reading them.
As far as telling people to “do what their paid for”
Its sort of rude and meaningless to say it in reference to a person who is neither at work nor working for you.
Also, lets be fair… In the past Thom has been a miserable twat, but with the last album or so he seems to have cheered up by a lot. His lyrics have certainly been more chipper and his live performances are less dour and brooding. God forbid he take an active interest in politics (something every free person should at least have a passing interest in) and want to bitch about it.
I imagine being the biggest Radiohead fan among a group of narrow-minded trolls is kind of like being the tallest midget or the smartest idiot. In fact, I’m kind of amazed you even listen to Radiohead. Judging by your hostile attitude towards anything that doesn’t agree with you, I would’ve guessed you an ICP fan. Maybe you should give ‘em a spin. I mean, trolling and corpse-fucking are kind of the same thing, aren’t they?
“Don’t Look Back in Anger, Thom”- Noel Gallgher
I love Radiohead, and Thom Yorke, and I want our government to do their part to help resolve climate issues as much as the next guy. But Thom Yorke needs to look at all that Obama has on his plate right now. Thom York, doesn’t give a shit that our economy is the worst its been in over 80 years, or the fact that we are currently in two wars, or that Obama is trying to secure a decent health care system, or that we almost had a terrorist blow up one of our planes. Give the guy a fucking break. I know Thom is just looking out for the future and the children, which I’m am also mindfull of, but there are more immediate and pressing issues right now, and though I don’t want to throw the climate issues on the backburner, I wish people could be a little more realistic about it.
A-fuckin-men, Joe! My sentiments exactly.
Hmm no. I hate that argument. He’s the president and we hired him as a decision-maker, not a selective-sweeper-under-the-rugger. I mean i understand he’s got a lot on the table but does that make for an honest excuse for poor judgement?
thanks Thom, for being a voice of reason in a world of madness
