Pat Grossi is a Los Angeles resident with an icy falsetto who records under the moniker Active Child. When we posted his “Voice Of An Old Friend” I said sunburst MySpace photos suggested he was “another of these beach-combing bedroom-atmospheric types.” You’d get a similar idea via the album cover for his forthcoming “She Was A Vision” single, which includes the aforementioned “Voice…” as its B-Side. Despite the sand and sunsets, though, Grossi is still more evocative of a classy Owen Pallett/Ed Droste combo than any specific “chillwave” act.

The “She Was A Vision” b/w “Voice Of An Old Friend” 7″ is out 1/11 via Transparent in an edition of 300. Here’s a song that isn’t on the 7″, but should give you another reason to pay attention:
