Amanda’s been teasing out her solo debut for a long time now. The bits and pieces we’ve gleaned include the sessions’ location (Nashville), producer (Ben Folds), and prospects for having at least one great song (very high, thanks to hearing at least one great song). The studio version of “Astronaut” brings strings and a subtle dance beat through the second verse and just as much DRAMA, which the video illustrates with exploding spaceships and Amanda’s crazy eyebrows.
