JJ DOOM - Keys To The Kuffs

Back in February, we first learned of the existence of JJ DOOM, a new duo that featured masked rap cult-hero DOOM and producer Jneiro Jarel, who’d previously worked as the musical half of Willie Isz, an underrated team-up with Goodie Mob’s Khujo Goodie. We also heard “Banished,” the first track released under the JJ DOOM name. And next month, we’ll get to hear the full JJ DOOM debut album album. The LP is called Keys To The Kuffs, and it’ll feature collaborations with Damon Albarn, Portishead singer Beth Gibbons, and Jarel’s old Willie Isz comrade Khujo Goodie. We’ve got the tracklist below.

01 “Waterlogged”
02 “Gov’nor”
03 “Banished”
04 “Bite The Thong” (Feat. Damon Albarn)
05 “Rhymin Slang”
06 “Dawg Friendly”
07 “Borin Convo”
08 “Snatch That Dough”
09 “GMO” (Feat. Beth Gibbons)

10 “Bout The Shoes”

11 “Winter Blues”

12 “Still Kaps” (Feat. Khujo Goodie)

13 “Retarded Fren”

14 “Viberian Sun Part II”

15 “Wash Your Hands”

Keys To The Kuffs is out 8/21 on Lex.

  1. DOOM collaborating with someone is no longer news. It’s all he does.

  2. Steve Powers making the album art for DOOM is the hip hop equivalent to Pettibon’s work for Black Flag. Absolutely perfect.

  3. bpm too fast for DOOM imho
