Cult Of Youth - "Man And Man's Ruin"

Stereogum40 alum/former BTW Cult Of Youth will release a new record called Love Will Prevail later this fall, a follow-up to last year’s heavy self-titled debut. Love Will Prevail found figurehead Sean Ragon in a full-bore creative state, where he played most of the instruments on the album, which was recorded at his studio Heaven Street (which is located in the back of his Bushwick record store of the same name). Today, we’ve got the first single from Love Will Prevail, a very pretty, acoustic-guitar led rock track that brings the much of the underlying musical detail of the lo-fi Cult Of Youth into the light. Stream it below.

  1. Ooooh, I’m liking it and also the fact I had no idea they were working on a new album. Their strummier songs have an excellent Velvet Underground + Echo and the Bunnymen feel to them. Add to that a September release date, and autumn is feeling good already.
