Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012 lineup

The full lineup for Fun Fun Fun Fest has been announced, and as you might expect, it’s stacked. At the top of the bill, on the hip-hop-leaning Blue Stage, is the RUN-D.M.C. reunion, but there’s plenty beyond that warranting a trip to Austin from 11/2 – 11/4. Other highlights on the Blue Stage include A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Charlie XCX, Nite Jewel, and Schoolboy Q. On the indie-rocking Orange Stage, you at least gotta see Santigold, P.I.L., Superchunk, Real Estate, Bob Mould doing Sugar’s Copper Blue (!), and Titus Andronicus. On the metal-heavy Black Stage (where I’d spend probably 85 percent of my time), you’ve got Refused, Fucked Up!, Seaweed (!!), Converge, Napalm Death, Baroness, Japandroids, Torche, Kvelertak, Pallbearer … gah, so many good bands. And then on the Yellow Stage: David Cross and Hannibal Burress and a ton of other presumably funny comedians who I don’t know anything about because I don’t listen to Marc Maron on the regular. 1. dat blue stage…

  2. Nice to see Bun B placed so highly, though i guess he is much more popular in TX

pretty great line up this year

  3. X playing Los Angeles?! On the same stage as Fucked Up and OFF?! Sweet merciful crap that is amazing.

Now all we need is a scheduled ego-maniacal breakdown by Danzig.

  4. Atlas Sound? I’m in.

  5. The bottom tier acts are always really great, but this year’s headliners don’t grab me as much as past year’s. There’s some nice reunions (Run DMC, Seaweed, Refused) however, everything after the Head and the Heart on the Orange Stage is appealing (Promise Ring, Mould, …Trail of Dead, Beach Fossils, Cult of Youth) and the entirety of the Black stage is where you’d definitely spend most of your time. If you can’t make it to the FYF Fest, I’d say this would be the next best bet.

  6. thats cool Braid is there i haven’t listened to them in ages
