In the past few weeks, we’ve heard a few albums that could conceivably top our best-of-2012 list at the end of the year. When we published our half-year list, though, we had a clear #1: Attack On Memory, an impressive hunk of ’90s-indie revelry from Cloud Nothings. And last night, the band made their first-ever TV appearance, stopping by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to crank through the wistfully tough “Stay Useless,” not even looking entirely out-of-place. Watch it below.

Attack On Memory is out now on Carpark.

Sounded like they held back a little bit, which I’d expect. Hope they really bring it on Saturday.
Uh, I’d say it sounded like they fucking nailed it, on network TV…which often doesn’t go nearly as well for even seasoned veterans.
Don’t get me wrong, I thought it was a great performance….just felt like they were playing as if they realllllly knew they were on TV.
glad he went with the puffy shirt
