While Friday saw the end of an era on late night TV — Conan saying goodbye to The Tonight Show and NBC with Neil Young, ZZ Top, Ben Harper, and more cowbell — the night also marked a first, with Beach House making their nationally televised debut on Fallon’s show with “Zebra,” the opening track to their Teen Dream. That album really is as good as everyone is telling you it is. The duo was flanked by a pair of men with keyboards, a shaker, and drums, and it’s a nice way to spend a few minutes on this rainy morn. Watch:

Teen Dream is out 1/26 (tomorrow) via Sub Pop. It’s still streaming. Here’s the video for “Silver Soul”:

    that was stunning!

  2. Not their best song on Teen Dream! What about them playing Norway instead?

  3. This song is Way better than norway :P

I got pretty wasted last night and bought three tickets to their show by accident lol

I think this is better than Norway too.. I actually think Norway is one of the weakest tracks on the record.

Al and Vicky are no doubt saving ‘Norway’ for another show. And I think I like this one better too.

  5. I agree that they should have played Norway not because Norway is a better song but because it would have been awesome to see them play Norway live on Fallon. I think Zebra is still by far one of my favorites on the new album.
This so far has been a great year for music.

  6. I’d like to add that I feel that Victoria just completely rocks out in this performance.

  7. Love this.

I will say “Used To Be” is my fave on Teen Dream.

  8. yup. zebra>norway.
fallon needs to get rid of the crowd behind the band. it’s just weird and awkward with all those people bobbing their heads back there.

  9. she looks EXACTLY like Jane Krakowski in this video.

    which is pretty sweet.
