We wrote about Eternal Summers’ terrific “You Kill” a little while ago — “deliriously upbeat, C-86-ish pop full of chiming guitars with fat, fuzzy distortion” — and the clip for the track captures the song’s wonderful combination of teenage excitement and sadness. It’s like a mumblecore short (trading the mumbling for the band’s roaring guitars), with shades of Richard Linklater or John Hughes: three best friends drive around, go to a party, drink from red Solo cups, hook up with some older randos, get kinda emo about it, pass out … The band’s name pretty much says it all. Watch.
Eternal Summers’ Correct Behavior is out now via Kanine.

This might be the lamest music video I’ve seen in a while. Good song though…
Derek, you are fat
This song feels exactly like the end of summer.
