Hooray For Earth - "Never"

One of two new songs on a new single from Brooklyn psych-poppers Hooray For Earth, “Never” starts out dark and tense before bursting into a surge of sunny melody. It’s probably not about the weird little kid from last week’s episode of Louie, but I’m going to pretend it is anyway. Listen to it below.

“Never” b/w “Figure” is out 8/21 on Dovecote.

  1. What’s with the picture of Sutro Tower accompanying this? Is it meant to convey some sort of association with San Francisco–”Ooh, if it’s from SF, you know it’s gonna be great psych-pop!”–never mind that the band is from Brooklyn?

  2. Right. I came for the picture (of Sutro tower). But, I’m leaving for the music.

  3. Lots of dad-ish-looking guys up in this comment section sounding confused…

  4. How could Hooray for Earth be confusing for dad’s? PopSmarts.
