Over the weekend, thousands of fans flocked to this year’s Outside Lands at Golden Gate Park. Overcast and chilly weather was offset by the fire from the Metallica pyrotechnics and warm vibes from festival attendees. Neil Young & Crazy Horse turned up their guitars to close out Friday, Metallica blew everyone away with their hellfire on Saturday, and Stevie Wonder dazzled with his barrage of hits to on Sunday. Some of the other highlights included Jack White’s impromptu set in the midst of the trees, a stellar performance by the reunited Grandaddy, massively gigantic crowds for Of Monsters And Men, Alabama Shakes, and Passion Pit, and impressive showings by the UK contingent of Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party.
