The Swedish electro duo of Leo Drougge and August Hellsing have been working on a sophomore followup to Lo-Fi-Funk’s 2006 Boylife debut. To give you an idea of what to expect, they opted to “leak” a song (because “record releases are such slow working processes”). The sunny “Marchin’ In” is that song. It features backup vocals by fellow Swede Maja Gödicke. They note, “Some people call it laid back.” Some people are right, though it’s not sleepy. Once you learn the words, relax with the aquatic, kaleidoscopic video treatment by Mattias Erik Johansson.

As far as the new album, keep watch at lo-fi.funk.com.

    That’s a zeitgeist-y band name.

I like the direction they’re headed with this. It’s good to hear they’re not doing a Boylife Pt.2.
