Swans - "No Words/No Thoughts" Video

If Swans’ two-hour monolithic masterpiece The Seer isn’t quite huge enough for you, the deluxe edition of the album comes with a DVD that includes footage of the band’s absolutely monstrous live show. And below, we’ve got video of them playing a building, droning, eventually bloodthirsty version of “No Words/No Thoughts,” an instrumental from their 2010 album My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky. To get the full impact, play it at volumes loud enough to split your face open.

The Seer is out now on Young God.

  1. This is pretty much exactly like the drunken droney jams my band used to do in junior high…ya know, when we sucked.

Besides the glock part, this is seemingly void of any interesting ideas…loud repetitive noise can be fun to play and fun to hear if you’re in the right mood but I came here to watch this because of the gushing I’ve been reading about this band and I’m surprisingly disappointed.

  2. That awkward feel when Swans has an official music video.
