AlunaGeorge - "Watching Over You" video

The London electro-soul duo AlunaGeorge have given the year one of its most indelible debut singles in “Your Drums, Your Love,” and now they’ve followed it up with a new track called “Watching Over You.” The track, which is part twee K Records confessional and part R&B smooth-glide, will appear on a new compilation from BBC radio DJ Annie Mac, where it’ll share space with previously-released joints from Frank Ocean, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Kindness, TNGHT, Diplo, Azealia Banks, and others.

Director Brendan Canty (who is lucky to share a name with Fugazi’s drummer, but who is not, in fact, the same guy) has made a video for it. Canty’s clip is an evocative smear of out-of-focus traffic footage and clips of old Super Mario games and early-’90s cartoons (Captain Planet And The Planeteers!). Watch it below.

  1. Ha! Clips of Hey Arnold! Awesome.

Seriously can’t get enough of these guys, very much anticipating their full-length next year.
