CMJ has effectively taken over Manhattan south of 14th St. and all of northwest Brooklyn. There are a billion parties and shows and bands in town right now. Plus alcohol. And … badges. It’s chaos! Last night, we threw a party with PopGun Booking at Glasslands in Williamsburg. Icona Pop DJ’ed between sets from Dum Dum Girls, Guards, Savages, Port St. Willow, and IO Echo. I can only speak for myself here — and I’m aware of my inherent bias — but I had a great time. I saw a lot of old friends, made a bunch of new ones, and heard some killer music. I’m feeling it today, though, boy. Photographer JW Byer was on hand to document the event. Check out his pics in the gallery.
