Brian Fallon

The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon once referenced a fucking Counting Crows lyric in a song, so you know he’s not too cool to cover a late-’90s Foo Fighters hit. And during a recent BBC Radio session, Fallon did just that, turning in a sleepy take on the Foos’ immortal 1997 car-radio anthem “Everlong.” Watch it below.

The Gaslight Anthem’s pretty great new album Handwritten is out now on Mercury.

  1. He tries to change the whole melody and mood of the track, but damn he does not know what he’s doing and it sounds flat as hell.

  2. i’m starting to sour on tga lately and from the sounds of this i don’t think it’s my fault

  3. Grohl has already done pretty much the exact same thing, a thousand times better, and did it back in ’97. It’s on the Foos Greatest Hits, for crying out loud (aka, “Everlong [Acoustic]“).
