At the moment, Glass Candy/Chromatics mastermind Johnny Jewel is the driving force for a whole mob of eerily retro Italo-disco projects, many of whom will contribute to the forthcoming comp After Dark 2. We’ve already seen Chromatics’ video for the After Dark 2 track “Looking For Love,” and now Desire, Jewel’s duo with singer Megan Louise, have shared their video for the compilation track “Tears From Heaven,” which I assure you is not an Eric Clapton cover. (That would be “Tears In Heaven,” but I think I can be forgiven for momentary panic there.) The song brings all of Jewel’s trademark sensory faraway bump, and frequent collaborator Alberto Rossini directed the grainy video. Watch it below.
After Dark 2 is coming soon from Italians Do It Better.
