METZ

Fresh off their highly touted CMJ performance, new Sub Pop signees METZ made a memorable Los Angeles debut to a rowdy mosh pit at the Echo. Beers and people flew throughout the venue as METZ honed in on a sound that was reminiscent of the angular dissonance of Burning Airlines and punk fury of Agent Orange. Expect to see METZ at your favorite festivals next year ensnaring a wider audience. Batwings Catwings also were on the bill with their hard-edged sound while Vinyl Williams dialed up some textural-psychedelic space jams. Check out the gallery above.

  1. Agent Orange?! Ick.

Metz was fantastic though. They are so loud and the crowd just ate it up.

    • what was with the short set? started @ 1020 and done by 1050. granted it was first LA show and they just have various singles and the Sub Pop disc yet an encore would have been nice…
