Rage Against The Machine

Earlier this month, Rage Against The Machine’s still-ridiculously-great self-titled debut turned 20, and later this month, the band will release a deluxe 20th-anniversary reissue of it. That version of the LP, available in different bundles and formats, comes loaded with bonuses, depending on which version you cop: B-sides, a DVD of a 2010 London show, the band’s initial 1991 demo. And right now, Rolling Stone has a stream of the version of “Freedom” — not ultimately a whole lot cruder than or different from the one that ended up on the album — that appeared on the demo. To hear it, head over here.

Rage Against The Machine – XX is out 11/27 on Sony Legacy.
