Last year, The-Dream, recording as real name Terius Nash, released the free mixtape 1977. And later this month, he’ll release a commercial version of it, complete with bonus tracks. And now he’s got a video for the 1977 track “Wake Me When It’s Over,” with the video mirroring the song’s lyrics about a relationship falling apart and the two people feeling powerless to stop its slide. I honestly can’t tell if that’s fucking or abuse happening at the end there. Watch it below.
1977 is out 12/18 via Radio Killa/Def Jam.

is that dash a part of his name?
Yeah, and I’ve always wondered why he did that. Maybe to be the only artist to get alphabetized by the “The” in his name? Is just a stylistic embellishment? Or does he just not understand grammar? Pretty goofy if you ask me.
that’s a pretty good guess – for alphabetization purposes, but if it is, congrats The-Dream, you made it harder for people to find your music at record stores
Yup, it was rape
Wake me when it’s over.
