The music website FACT, which typically focuses on leftfield electronic stuff, always puts out a fascinating end-of-year list, and this year is no exception. The site has just made its contribution to this month’s list orgy, and it’s got Kendrick Lamar, deservingly enough, at the top. The real action, though, is further down the list. FACT has carved out room for evil industrial hiss (Carter Tutti Void), vintage-keyboard expansiveness (d’Eon), bust-your-face rap (Gunplay), sticky-slick R&B (Jeremih), berserker crustcore (Black Breath), and Lana Del Rey (Lana Del Rey). Check out the top 10 below.
10 Wolfgang Voigt – Rückverzauberung 6
09 Swans – The Seer
08 Terrence Dixon – From the Far Future Pt. 2
07 Jam City – Classical Curves
06 How To Dress Well – Total Loss
05 Spaceghostpurrp – God Of Black
04 Horrid Red – Celestial Joy
03 Cooly G – Playin Me
02 Lee Gamble – Diversions 1994-1996 / Dutch Tvashar Plumes
01 Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City

I know, it’s number 7 on my list!
I’m surprised the Hot Chip album is getting so little respect.
Really like to see How to Dress Well so high on this list. That album was definitely top ten worthy material.
