We haven’t heard much from Pablo Díaz-Reixa’s El Guincho project since the colorfully clubby tropicalia of 2008’s BTW-earning Alegranzia morphed into the darker palettes of 2010’s Pop Negro, but for a remix for Björk. Well it is a new year, and it’s looking like El Guincho will be back in 2013. Just before NYE, Pablo shared with friends a 25 minute mix of new music, club-oriented in nature and apparently all original. He’s called it “Trances,” and he’s posted it at tranc.es, because it is a Spanish website, and because that is how you spell “trances,” and because El Guincho is on it. Stream it completely, it is worthwhile.
