In the past year, Dev Hynes has really come into his own as a producer, helping to usher in great stoner-pop work from singers like Solange and Sky Ferreira. And he’s still recording on his own, under his Blood Orange moniker. This past weekend, he put together a home-recorded cover of “Cyan,” a single from his friend and fellow thoughtful pop-music traveler Kindness, and it’s got much of the same woozy melodic confidence that’s made his recent productions so great.
