Kitty Pryde - Ay Shawty (Feat. Lakutis)

“Ay Shawty” links Kitty Pryde up with fellow pop culture weirdo, Greedhead’s Lakutis. Kitty seems to be coming a lot more into her own here — the energy that she harnesses in her live show is now bleeding into her music, whether it’s with her beat choice, like with last week’s “Dead Island,” or here, where she adds a slight shade of grit to her Powerpuff Girl-sounding punches. Check it out below.

  1. Kitty Pryde – bullshit music for bullshit people

  2. the. worst.

  3. I saw her perform this when she opened for WHY? and it was already a favorite and this studio version might be my favorite song of her’s ever!

  4. The elephant sodomy picture says it all.

  5. I made it to 1:33. Remind me why this is supposed to be taken seriously and Uffie is a punchline.

  6. Maybe Claire Lobenfeld can write us a Deconstructing Kitty Pryde because I don’t get this at all. If her recent output “harnesses (the energy) in her live show” then said live show must be the least charismatic rap show ever.

  7. If nothing else, at least we got to hear Lakutis on a Hot Sugar beat. He kinda killed it, as per usual.
