We’ve definitely exhausted the John Hughes Teen Dream sound over the past few years and while the universal interest in youthful bliss will never die, I think it’s about time we shed the 80s throwback skin. But, as someone who spent a big chunk of her adolescence in a bowling alley (Little Lebowski Suburban Achievers standup!), I’m pretty into Chad Valley’s video for “I Owe You This.” And when you throw Twin Shadow’s croon into the mix, it’s hard to not want the music to conjure up Lane Meyer nostalgia.
