HAIM - "Falling"

Last year, we made HAIM, a trio of Californian sisters, a Band To Watch, and now they’ve given us another good reason to pay attention. HAIM’s new song “Falling,” the title track from a forthcoming Ariel Rechtshaid-produced EP, is a lush, bottom-heavy spectral pop song. It reminds me of Twin Shadow, except refracted through a sun-dazed Californian studio-pop sensibility. It’s a good one, and you can listen to it below.

The Falling EP is out 4/1 on National Anthem/Polydor.

  2. Please please please continue Stereogum’s coverage of Haim, Tom.

  3. They are bombass.

  4. Twin Shadow’s last record didn’t have a “sun-dazed Californian studio-pop sensibility?” And here I thought he wrote and recorded it in Silver Lake and spent every day doing yoga and riding his motorcycle on Angeles Crest Highway; I didn’t know that it was actually recorded in a cabin in the woods of northern Wisconsin in the winter.

  5. amazing stuff.

  6. Preach been a while since there’s been a band I like as much as these lot, i love that they are sisters, the videos remind me of me and my sister when were going crazy :-)
