Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy changed a lot of things, but it didn’t change this: Stephen Norrington’s 1998 masterpiece Blade is, at least in my estimation, the best superhero movie ever made. If you haven’t seen it, I don’t know what the fuck you’re doing with your life, but here’s a good argument for why you should. The former Das Racist rapper Heems has just released the video for “Desi Shoegaze Taiko,” an oddly pretty track from his excellent 2012 mixtape Nehru Jackets, and the entire video is just the amazing vampire blood-rave Blade opening, played out in full with no cuts or anything. It really makes me want to watch Blade again, not that I really needed the reminder. Check it out below.
