Pony Time are a garage-rock Seattle duo who fell on my radar at some point last year via some Pacific Northwest bands I booked house shows for in Boston. They caught my attention again recently with a new single, “Because I Care,” from their debut album Go Find Your Own due out February 19 via Per Se Records. Now, you can download a second single from that record, “Geordie,” below. This new song is just under three minutes, finding singer Luke Beetham and drummer Stacy Peck making good use of that time, with extra-distorted guitars and punchy vocals. You can also check out a video for the song below, as well as their cover of “New Radio” by Bikini Kill.

  1. Oh cool, a crusty pop-punk band that sounds like they play shows only inside basements and have early demos available on cassette. Because we aren’t super-saturated with a million other “DIY” sounding bands doing this same thing right now or anything…

    • It isn’t bad, though. I’m just noticing a bombardment of music that doesn’t deviate from this template. You’re the professional tastemaker, so I suppose you know what you’re doing…

  2. that knind of indie you almost can understand what they’re trying to say
