Apropos of mystery video #10, Nick sent this fun mashup my way:
Compact Risk – “Drop It Like It’s Huey” (MP3 Removed)

Yes folks, that’s Snoop’s “Drop It” VS Huey Lewis’ “Power Of Love.” Heavy.

I say, that’s pretty damn seamless. And catchy. On an unrelated note, it took exactly 1 day for a new email address used here to start getting spam, thanks spambots! Oh well, that’s why they’re throwaway addresses.

So yeah this mashup deal might be getting a bit outta hand hahaha.

  3. That’s odd. Just yesterday, Adam Curry played an awesome mash-up of Q-Tip and Huey Lewis called “The Power Don’t Stop Mr. Shakey-Hands Man,” on his podcast, “Daily Source Code.” I think the broadcast is still on his website, dailysourcecode.com It’s the Feb. 22nd episode.

  4. Brilliant!!! Have you heard the Tool/Outkast mash?

  5. hey – glad you like the track!

aye, tis just a burst of silliness, but it’s always the throwaway tracks that get the best publicity…

please do check out the site – i’ve recently added a orbital-stylee Daft Punk remix that i’m rather proud of, if you’re into that sort of thing. If you’re more a mashup person, you wouldn’t go far wrong with Work It Out 98.6 either…

sorry for a wee burst of self-promotion, but it’s not often that an opportunity like this presents itself, and i’d be a fool to let it pass by. A FOOL.

    take care,
    richard

I laughed out loud…and then turned it up to jam while I read the rest of my celeb-gossip and MP3 blogs (guilty pleasure after a long day, what can I say??)

  12. Yeah, Zelda, this track is AMAZING. So seamless and so perfect. It’s like an aural mashup assault that actually works.
