Bob Mould on Fallon

Hüsker Dü legend and punk lifer Bob Mould has put in some absolutely ferocious late-night TV performances in recent months, and last night, he brought his insanely undiminished intensity to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon while Fred Armisen and Jon Glazer, who were not guests on the show, looked on. On the show proper, he burned his way through “Star Machine,” one of the standouts from his 2012 solo album Silver Age. And as an online bonus, he and his band gave an absolutely thunderous performance of “A Good Idea,” from Sugar’s 1992 debut Copper Blue. Watch both performances below.

Silver Age is out now on Merge.

  1. When is Bob Mould *not* awesome? God, I love that guy.

  2. Bob is the best but goddamn motherfucking Hulu not letting anyone outside the US watch this.
