The moody, abstract British production duo Mount Kimbie have been missing in action for a little while, presumably because they’ve been working on their Warp Records debut. And now, we’re getting a taste of how that album might sound. The new track “Made To Stray” finds Mount Kimbie in a less withdrawn state, moving closer to straight-up dance music than we’ve heard them do. It’s an anxious and terse form of dance music, but it’s dance music nonetheless. The track recently aired on Rinse-FM; hear a radio rip below.
That Mount Kimbie album will presumably be coming sometime soon on Warp.
