Vampire Weekend Easter

For reasons that I could not possibly ever begin to comprehend, the veteran character actor Steve Buscemi and the New York band Vampire Weekend marched together in the Easter Parade And Easter Bonnet Festival yesterday on 5th Avenue. And during one moment from the parade, Buscemi hoisted a gigantic old-timey megaphone and sang an extremely brief and half-hearted version of Vampire Weekend’s hyperactive new single “Diane Young” while members of the band clustered around him. This may be the first role of Buscemi’s entire career that he has not committed to completely. Watch it below.

  1. “For reasons that I could not possibly ever begin to comprehend, the veteran character actor Steve Buscemi and the New York band Vampire Weekend marched together…” Here’s your reason: The band tweeted this on Friday: “EXCITING NEWS – Chris Baio has been working on a family tree for months and just discovered he is a distant cousin of actor Steve Buscemi.” They then posted photos of Baio and Buscemi together on both Friday and Saturday.

  3. Thought I was walking right into an April Fool’s day joke clicking on this article, but there’s Buscemi singing Daine Young into a megaphone…

  4. “Dancing Jesus’ steps Honest cabby charges no taxi tax”

Am i the only one more confused by the headline at the bottom of the paper Steve Buscemi is holding than the actual performance itself?
