She And Him

Even though she’s deep into her media-takeover all-platforms assault, Zooey Deschanel somehow found the time to get back together with M. Ward and record another She & Him album. Volume 3 arrives next month, and we posted its first single “Never Wanted Your Love.” Now, they’ve also shared the shimmering Etsy-pop lament “I Could’ve Been Your Girl,” and you can stream that one below.

Volume 3 is out 5/7 on Merge. Also, The New Girl is one of the two or three best shows on TV, and you should be watching it if you aren’t already.

  2. Not hatin’, for I am an opossum, but usually Zooey’s vocal performance is better than this. Not quite awesome.

  3. All I was thinking the whole song was that it needed to be M Ward-y-er, then he comes in and rips the M Ward-y-est of guitar solos (that we can ask for on a She & Him album).

Also, agreed a bit with sir opossum. Seems a bit like the vocals are our of Miss Deschanel’s range? Very nice tune, nonetheless.
