Next week, the veteran New York twitch-funk ensemble !!! will release their absurdly titled new LP THR!!!ER, and we’ve already posted its tracks “Slyd” and “One Girl/One Boy.” Listening to the whole thing now, it’s easily the most polished, least itchy thing the band has ever done, but these are still not the guys to go to if smooth, professional dance-funk is your thing. But their hooks are deep and their textures are thick, and the whole thing is well worth a listen. Stream it at Pitchfork.
