Last year, the filmmaker Khalil Joseph made a mesmerizing short film for Until The Quiet Comes, the Flying Lotus album, which made a better case for the LP than most music videos. Now, Joseph and FlyLo have teamed up again, as FlyLo has scored Wildcat, a haunting, impressionist seven-minute short film from Joseph. The dialogue-free Wildcat is a series of spare and haunting images of the town of Grayson, Oklahoma and the little-known African-American rodeo there. FlyLo’s music is all drones and piano tones, and it complements the film wonderfully. Watch it below.
