Boston DIY-scene heroes Fat History Month released their sophomore album Bad History Month earlier this year, and our weekend ringer Liz Pelly posted their song “Bald History Month” a little while back. Later this summer, they’ll be back with a split single, one they’ll share with the Chicago band My Dad. “Sad History Month,” Fat History Month’s contribution, is six minutes of quiet, seething misanthropy that reminds me of Arab Strab in their prime. Experience the bad vibes below.
The Fat History Month/My Dad split is out 8/6 on Exploding In Sound/Ranch/Broken World.
