On Majical Cloudz’s “Bugs Don’t Buzz” Devon Welsh sings “the cheesiest songs all end with a smile/this won’t end with a smile, my love” and if you have entomophobia, then watching this video will not end with one, either. And yet, the litter of beetles and roaches that star in this Gordon Von Steiner-directed clip reflect the same minimalist beauty of Impersonator — so stark, but so able to cause some kind of guttural response.
