Daughn Gibson - Me Moan

Next month, the former Pearls & Brass drummer and general all-around handsome dusky-voiced Pennsylvanian Daughn Gibson will release Me Moan, his second solo album of windblown Americana singer-songwriter music. This time around, Gibson’s got members of Baroness and Brokeback playing guitar for him, and he’s sounding way less like the Crash Test Dummies than he did on last year’s debut album All Hell. We’ve already posted the Me Moan singles “The Sound Of Law” and “You Don’t Fade,” and now you can stream the whole album at NPR.

Me Moan is out 7/9 on Sub Pop.

  1. I’ve given this album quite a few spins (during different levels of sobriety), and it works in all conditions. Quite a strong album; hope it doesn’t go overlooked.

  2. yeah was gonna say this album is incredibly solid. surprised more people haven’t been talking about it. reminds me a lot of nick cave at times
