MGMT - s/t

In a few months, MGMT will release their self-titled third album, which Dave Fridmann produced and which features the Record Store Day cassingle “Alien Days.” And today, as Consequence Of Sound reports, the band shared the album’s cover art, which seems to show them running a thrift-shop raffle or something. It’s a far cry from the berserker video-game graphic that adorned Congratulations, and it’s hard not to wonder if it signals a change in musical focus, as well.

MGMT is out 9/17 on Columbia.
