The final installment of the Cure’s Single Of The Month Club dropped yesterday, alongside news of a mall punk remix EP executed by the all-stars of commodified angst (Gerard Way, Pete Wentz, Jared Leto, etc.). Obviously that makes for quite a Hot Topic, but it would be a travesty for that to overshadow the gem that is “The Perfect Boy.” The video looks to be shot at the exact same session as the “Sleep When I’m Dead” clip, which is fine because really it’s just a chance to freely stream the best Cure cut in awhile.

I think you’re referring to Porl, one of the best guitarists alive.
And he toured with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
I personally like his bizarre new look. I think it enhances his stage presence. I like people who aren’t afraid to express themselves creatively, even if others might strongly be opposed to it.

It is a great damn song. They all are good or great, actually. The album will be awesome.
