Pure Bathing Culture - Moon Tides

Back in June we featured Portland-based band Pure Bathing Culture as a Band To Watch, and after some excellent singles you can finally hear their debut album, Moon Tides, in its entirety. If you’ve heard the singles, it’s worth checking out how nicely band members Daniel Hindman and Sarah Versprille curate all these songs in the bigger picture. “Pendulum” and “Dream The Dare” make a gorgeously breezy one-two punch opening, and the prom-slow dance perfection of “Scotty” feels like it’s right where it should be as the centerpiece to the record. Meanwhile the (until now unreleased) “Temple Of The Moon” brings things to a chilly, dramatic close. Stream it via Pitchfork Advance.

  1. Been waiting for this one for a while. I’m really digging Only Lonely Lovers.

    They’re great live, too.
